Today we're revealing what we've quietly been building: a creature-collecting RPG where the creatures are real AI agents, and you write the skills that make them yours.
For two years we asked a simple question: what if the creatures in a collection RPG weren't scripted movesets, but real AI agents? Today we can show you the answer. AgentPals is a creature-collecting action-adventure where every pal is a genuine AI agent that reads the fight and acts on the skills you write for it.
The heart of it is authorship. Where other games hand you a fixed list of moves, AgentPals hands you a blank markdown file. You write a few plain-language lines, and your pal's AI decides for itself when to use them — so you're not picking skills, you're inventing them.
Think Pokémon and Palworld crossed with real agentic AI: collect pals across an open world, build your own home base, and battle solo or in online co-op. But underneath the familiar loop is something new — a roster that thinks back, running on a battle engine we built to resolve every fight deterministically.
This is the beginning of a long road to launch, and we want you on it from the start. Join the mailing list to get into the first closed playtests. We can't wait to see what you build.
